The European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), what is it really all about and what should we really be doing now?
This seminar will be led by Harry Ewins, Managing Director of External Persepctive Ltd. In May this year, Europe’s data protection rules will undergo their biggest changes in two decades. The European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), will come into force on May 25 2018. It will change how businesses and public sector organisations can handle the information of customers.
This seminar will be an overview of the key elements of the GDPR and tips on how to move forward quickly, plus a Q&A Session with pre-session questions made by email.
This event is suitable for beginners and newly designated GDPR project leaders.
Harry is a Certified Management Consultant (Institute of Consulting) and Certified GDPR Practitioner (IBITGQ), with several years’ experience of managing a team of Assessors and Advisors in quality standards, including Investors in People, Lexcel and the EFQM, with clients ranging from Government Departments to very small Professional Practices and businesses who are focused on delivering high quality products and services. He has worked in schools as a Bursar, Company Secretary & Clerk to Governors for three schools from 2003 to 2016 and was a Special School Governor for ten years.
