Larking Gowen recently coproduced a national report identifying the top ten issues regularly raised by our not for profit clients. To follow up, we are holding a series of seminars aimed at charity finance teams, trustees and senior management teams.

All charities have to follow new accounting standards for accounting periods starting in 2015. How will this affect your accounts? What do you need to prepare early? What are the differences for smaller and larger charities?
Charity trading and subsidiaries
Should trading be within the charity or another company? What do you need to look out for on rates and VAT? What issues are there for rental income and paying distributions?
An area of frustration and potential misunderstanding! We will describe the key challenges including common problems, borderline cases and tips for dealing with HMRC.
Practical examples will be given on all topics.
