In a recent survey by The Institution of Engineering and Technology, over half of the firms that employ engineers and IT staff reported that they could not find the employees they were looking for and 59% said the shortage would be ‘a threat to their business in the UK’.
To meet these skills gaps and shortages, firms have turned to employing qualified workers from outside the EU; but this exposes their businesses to a vast array of immigration and tax compliance regulations.
Chris Blundell of MHA MacIntyre Hudson and Allan Briddock of Blake Morgan LLP will guide you through the immigration and PAYE tax and legal minefields that exist, so you can be compliant and avoid unexpected fines.
