The Strego Group Joins Baker Tilly International

Our international network, Baker Tilly International strengthens its client service capabilities in France with the admission of The Strego Group.

In a strategic move, Baker Tilly International announced that The Strego Group has been admitted to membership of the network.

In October 2017, Strego, one of France’s leading integrated, full service firms, agreed a large-scale merger with Paris-based Baker Tilly Sofideec, a former member of Baker Tilly France. The combined firm comprises more than 1,200 people delivering audit, accounting and management consultancy services out of 50 offices in Paris and Western France. The Strego Group also provides legal and tax consulting services under the name Oratio Lawyers. With estimated 2018 revenues in excess of US$130m, the combined firm is expected to rank within the Top 10 single firms in France by revenue and has a robust strategic plan in place to increase its footprint across France within the next few years.

As a result of this development, the network’s existing member firm Baker Tilly France, which is itself a national network of smaller firms, will leave Baker Tilly International on 31 March 2018.

Commenting on the appointment of The Strego Group, Ted Verkade, CEO and President of Baker Tilly International, said: “I’m delighted to welcome The Strego Group to the network. A high-quality, full service firm, committed to helping clients unlock their potential for growth in France, they have a leading reputation in the French business community.

The merger between Strego and Baker Tilly Sofideec represents an exciting chapter in both firms’ continued growth. I am confident of the cultural fit between the newly joined firms, and look forward to the enlarged firm building strong relationships with existing and new clients and further strengthening their position in the local market, and within our own network. To have a single, fully integrated firm representing us in France significantly enhances both our client service capabilities and potential for growth in this key market.”

Yves Guibreteau, President of Strego, said: “Joining Baker Tilly International is key to us realising our international ambitions. Together, we share a common goal: to add value. Membership in this leading network allows Strego to strengthen its expertise in supporting French SMEs who are operating internationally, whether through subsidiaries, investment or exports, and support foreign investors into France, ensuring that French regulations are complied with.”
